in the medieval age you don't have to unlock the mage despite it being the unlockable one and its the same in the next age

General Tips:
1. Don't build any defenses.
2. Make only support units.
3. Don't use specials
4. Upgrade tech as soon as you can
5. Get the extra gold upgrade and the support damage+range upgrades

Speciasl don't help to the end. Try to out technogize yourself before the enemy. Meaning, always be morea dvanced than the enemy.

Always pay attention to your xp and advance your age as soon as you can

dont just blow all your money in 2 seconds keep at least half, unless your confident that you cant be beaten

This is a pretty good game.
