Wow. That's probably the most sensible thing you've ever said.

Why do I have a feeling the Rape of Nanking is something i shouldn't read...?

To answer your original question, you should read:

  • The Lord of the Rings by J.R.R. Tolkien

  • The Hobbit by J.R.R. Tolkien

  • The Hunger Games by Suzanne Collins

  • Battle Royale by Koushun Takami

  • Anything by Anthony Horowitz

  • A Song of Ice and Fire by George R.R. Martin

  • The Inheritance Cycle by Christopher Paolini

  • Malice by Chris Wooding

  • Anything by Terry Pratchett

  • The Chaos Walking Trilogy by Patrick Ness

  • Oliver Twist by Charles Dickens

  • The Enemy by Charlie Higson

The list goes on and on. :P
I have read the hunger games and the hobbit thank you.

Last Book: Of Mice and Men, great book
Reading Now: The Woman In Black
I don't really like Of Mice and Men. I agree it has educational value, but it doesn't really interest me. Although The Woman in Black is quite good.

I have too many favorite books to list them. But right now I'm reading The Poisonwood Bible. Very good, but has pretty much nothing to do with chemistry. Also, I'll be starting Farenheit 451 by Ray Bradbury this coming week. I never have anytime to read something of my choice anymore. :(
Aww.

I loved it, is a little slow at the start, and controversial, but can be a real tearjerker.
Hmm.

I've just reverted to reading the Harry Potter series for the fourth time.
Blech. First three Harry Potters were good, but then they went right down a very steep hill.

I would suggest the books written by Jeremy Clarkson: 'The world according to Jeremy Clarkson', 'Born to be Riled' and 'I know you got soul'. They are all quite funny.
