the end of the world is supposed to be december 21st 2012, the sun will be in the middle of the universe for the first time in 46,000 years, how could the mayans have guessed that?

PLUS the Mayans were the same people who had human sacrifices and used human heads as footballs, why are we thinking THEY predicted the end of the world? the same people that thought they god would like it if they cut open someones chest

Actually the ending of the Mayans calendar doesn't state that the world will end when the calendar ends, it just is the end of their "Long Count", which is like a set point of time like a milennia is to us.

Actually Dan that was the Aztecs, the Mayans were their ancestors. The Mayans didn't have football with human heads or sacrifice humans........... much. The Aztecs did both of these things a lot. Although the Mayans did say the world was going to end on December 21st 2012.
